Privacy notice
Tujengane 2023 Self Help Group keeps your information to run the group under its constitution and Kenya's Data Protection Act, 2019.
What we keep: your name, phone number, national ID number (encrypted), contributions, fines, attendance, and next-of-kin nominations (encrypted).
Why: to record your savings and fines, send you SMS and notifications, prepare the annual accounts, and meet clause 16 of the constitution (next of kin).
Who sees it: every member can inspect the group's books (clause 8). ID numbers and next-of-kin details are visible to the chairperson and secretary only. We do not sell or share your information with anyone else, except Safaricom (M-Pesa) and Africa's Talking (SMS) to provide those services.
Your rights: to see your data (My statement → CSV), to correct it (through the secretary), and to have it erased when you leave the group — except financial records, which must be kept for 7 years.
Contact: the group secretary. Data controller: the chairperson.
